Ruins

When you turn on the news, Peru is not a country that comes up very often. Being a third world country, Peru is associated with poverty and underdevelopment. Very rarely is it seen as the pleasant and culture rich country that it really is. With unique foods, a fascinating ancient culture, and stunning ruins from the Incas, once you visit Peru you will see that it is anything but poor. Being half Peruvian myself and having visited there many times, I can say from first hand experience that Peru is one of the most incredible places to visit and to experience. With a varying landscape that will appeal to anyone, may it be beach lovers, hikers, or those who even love the desert,  Despite problems with war and drug cartels, most of the people that live in Peru are happy with their lives, and it shows through with their every day actions. Filled with culture and history, Peru will leave a lasting impression on anyone who decides to travel there.
